THE NEW ENGLAND WILDERNESS WALK
The New England Wilderness Walk is a 33km bush track in The New England National Park, NSW, Australia. We fortuitously caught some wet weather, which provided some relief from what could have been a couple of very warm January days.
We encountered a couple of snakes, one of which can be seen in an image below. Leg gaiters and an emergency beacon are paramount on this hike due to the remote location and the likelihood of encounters with venomous snakes.
We were fortunate enough to come into a mess of bass from the river - I should say some of us were fortunate. Regardless we all ate fish that night.
